Captain Hook - Word Mosaic Art Print
The story of “the boy who wouldn't grow up” and his arch nemesis, the dreaded pirate Captain Hook, is so much a part of our culture today that even people who aren't fans of the classic animated film can love and relate to its themes of adventure and innocence!
With every art piece I do, I try not only to inspire and entertain you, but also to educate you with words and phrases hidden within my art!
For this Captain Hook piece, I used words like crocodile, ticking clock, and lost boys, as well as the phrases “never ending childhood,” “away we go” and “dreams do come true!”
In total, there are over 50 words and phrases in this art piece that describe the classic story of Captain Hook from Peter Pan!
About the Artist:
Curtis Epperson is a contemporary word mosaic artist, husband, and father, who currently lives, plays, and creates in Orlando, Florida.
He has always had a love for all of the arts, spending most of his life in the Christian music industry. But in the summer of 2021, after almost 25 years in the music business, Curtis decided to take his creative endeavors in a completely different direction.
In addition to being an artist, Curtis considers himself a "puzzle guy" and a "trivia guy." In fact, he has never found a brain game he didn't love and is fascinated with how the human mind works.
**All of my art is digitally drawn by hand, one letter at a time, and no word or phrase is ever repeated. Depending on the complexity of the piece, each one takes me between 6 and 60 hours to complete!
I sincerely hope you get as much joy out of having this piece in your home as I had creating it!
